Courage helps us grow stronger by trying new things, standing up for what is right, and never giving up. It’s not about being fearless—it’s about choosing to act with bravery even when we feel afraid. At CMIS, Chilly Pilly encourages every child to practice courage, whether it’s speaking up in class, helping a friend, or trying something new. Together, we nurture a community where children learn that every brave step makes them stronger and more confident.

In the playground, my friend fell while running and everyone was looking at her. I felt shy to go and help because others might laugh at me. Then I remembered Chilly Pilly’s story—he said courage means helping even if you feel scared. So, I took a deep breath, went to my friend, and held her hand. I took her to the teacher. She smiled and said, ‘Thank you.’ I felt proud that I was brave, just like Chilly Pilly taught me.

In science class, I didn’t understand a diagram. I felt shy to ask in front of everyone. But I raised my hand, and the teacher explained it again. Some other students told me later they also understood better because I asked.

One day, me and my brother were playing a game in the living room. We were running around, and my hand hit the table. My mother’s favorite cup fell and broke. I felt scared she would be very angry. I wanted to hide, but instead I went to her and told the truth. She was upset, but she said, ‘I’m proud you told me.’ After that, I felt lighter inside.

Near our street, I saw a small dog looking scared. My friends said to stay away, but I slowly walked to it and saw it had a collar. I called my dad, and we took it to the address on the tag. The owner thanked me, and I felt happy I helped.
